I get an outrageous number of calls from nice people trying to improve my credit card interest rate. All the numbers are caller ID spoofed. But today I put one in the Call Block list and five minutes later the call came through again with the same spoofed ID.
Any idea why it is not being blocked?
Also, how many numbers can you block?

[Tampa] Model # of Business Class Modems Used By BH Tampa Bay
I'm trying to identify the modems that are used by BH Tampa Bay area for their business class customers.
We are having the service installed next week and I would like to review the features/functions of the available modems so I can decide whether to use their internal router or go with an external router and bridge.
I've contacted BH business sales and was told that none of their business class modems have routers. I then contacted BH tech support and was told that they do have routers. Who am I to believe?
So if anyone can please post some model numbers of business class modems that are in-use by BH Tampa Bay area I would really appreciate it.

[TV] The Movie Channel
New member so forgive me if this is already addressed in another thread, but I did not find one. I see that BH is removing The Movie Channel from the Showtime subscription in Orlando. I also see that if you want to keep The Movie Channel you can pay an additional "Only $14 per month". But what I don't see is any reduction in cost to the Showtime subscription to compensate for the loss of something that will now cost an additional $14 if you want to maintain the status quo. Anyone have any info on that? Thanks

tv turns off
have a new vizio tv and just plugging the cable from wall to tv it works fine all day. when i plug the tv to one of the BH adap. it shuts off the tv power about 2-3 times per hour. all timers on tv are off. have tried 2 different BH adapters and both turn the tv off.

Why is it during the small & slightly noisy t-storms this happens, but not during the house shaking & light everything up t-storms? :uhh:
Around 3:45pm FPL starts it's flicker & flash and the internet, phone and tv goes out. Around 4:10 power goes out for about 10 minutes. About 4:45 internet & phone is back, but the Cisco DTA170HD is still searching for channels with the green led blinking away. 5:03pm The DTA just found a channel...

[Phone] Question on adding handsets to phone service...
So, I am ignorant to the BHN phone service and voip in general (is voip used for BHN's phone service...?). In the new place I moved into, I have a single handset in the living room. What is required to simply add another handset say, in my bedroom? Can I simply buy another handset and connect it to the BHN system easily, or must it be something from BHN?

[CFL] RoadRunner email Problems - Central FL
Hello:
For a few months I've had the same problem described in this thread ( Had it in a T-Mobile Galaxy S2, and now with a new S5). E-mail is OK when on Wi-Fi, but cannot contact the Roadrunner email server while on T-mobile's cellular network. THE ISSUE IS NOT SOLVED!!!! For a while, my workaround was a daily routine of deleting the e-mail account, re-booting the phone, and adding the e-mail account again. Today that's not working, and I'm sick and tired of not having the service I'm paying for... Lot's of finger-pointing between Road Runnne/Time Warner, and T-mobile, but no solutuion. I'm puzzled since my cubicle neighbor at work has an S5 with AT&T, with RR e-mail, and he doesn't have any problems... An interface has two sides, so both T-Mobile and Road Runner have to work on this issue together. It needs to be elevated to higher levels, as regular tech support floks don't seem to have a clear understanding of the nature of the problem. Brighthouse: What say you?

[TV] Can't access DVR via BHTV app after swap
Hi,
I just swapped my DVR for a six-tuner but now I can't access the scheduled recordings via the bhtv.brighthouse.com app. Under DVR Manager it just says no recordings found. I could swear I was able to do this before I swapped the DVRs. Is there something I need to do to refresh the DVR list so the app can connect to my new DVR?

Internet Phone Issue with new Install
My mother just had Lightning 30 and Internet phone installed today. Her phone is not raining when people are calling her. The Installer, who was apparently an independent contractor, did not check or test to make sure the phone works before he left.
Gary, this is something that you can check from your end or does she need to set up another service call for bhn to come check her phone. She relies on the home phone pretty heavily and is worried not having it connecting.

"Invalid Certificate" on BHTV app
Can't sign in to BHTV on my iPad. It was working earlier tonight, but when I went back to open it, I got the sign-in screen. After entering my credentials, I got the following message "The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be wayfarer.bhn.timewarnercable.com" which could put your confidential...." (it cuts off there).
Any thoughts, Gary?

Slow Internet Responce
I went on 2 weeks ago and since I've been home I've noticed that both at home and at work (personal and a business BHN account) that the internet has been sluggish to respond. Speedtest shows full download and upload speed as listed on my plan but it is taking a very long time for the browser to start to load pages. This is an intermittent problem. I thought maybe I was imagining it but now my brother tells me his BHN internet is doing the same thing. We live about a mile and a half but on different roads. The business account is in orange county and we live in Osceola.
Anyone else in CFL noticed anything like this?

[TV] can you order JUST tv?
i have an area where both brigthhouse and fios service, the 10up max on internet makes it pointless to even bother including it and means ill be keeping Fios in some shape or form either way.
but i do like the BH cable line-up options, IF it will let me order just TV and possibly a phone line but the online ordering redirects to bundles and its either TV+IN or IN+PH or all 3
im wondering if they would atleast entertain it considering im in an area that has competition, "some service is better than no service" mentality, rather than the other option where they can bully people into "deals" cause its the best in town.

Upstream Power Level and Frequency

I'm visiting my uncle and trying to help him get his internet straightened out, but it seems to be a little beyond my expertise. He has been experiencing connectivity issues with his SB6141. The downstream levels seem to be fine, but upstream was at 57dB. I checked about an hour later, and it's still high at 52dB. He has one main line coming in. The main line was going to a two-way splitter, and one of those lines went to a three-way. I consolidated the splitters to one four-way splitter. Since doing so, the status on the modem page now shows four upstream channels and frequencies, whereas before it was showing one. The downstream power went from -2 to -5, but everything else is the same. There is also a two-way splitter in the bedroom where the cable modem is located -- one for the cable modem, and one for the TV. Attached are before and after screenshots. What adjustments can be made to try to get everything at the correct levels? Thanks.

Used to be there? I know I watched Thur. Night Football on it?
iPad NFL Network app doesn't have BH listed to sign-in (but we have the channel on TV)?
iPad NFL mobile is really a Verizon product...

SEC Network
If you do "The Trick" on Channels 54 SD/1150 HD, The SEC Network test channel is up in Orlando.
Other areas probably can do this on their assigned channel numbers as well.
The HD version is a blank black screen but the SD one has music and The SEC Network logo on the screen.
I remember when we got The Pac 12 Network. They did a bunch of testing on the screen before launch. It was pretty cool to see.

Price difference between dta150 and an HD converter box.
I'm trying to figure out how much more per month an hd converter box would be. I currently have the one STB in standard def, and the other tv's are using dta-150 at $2 per month. How much is the HD box per month?
